On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...a ham soda?!

Jones Soda Co., who makes the funky bottled drinks you probably see in Starbucks or high-end grocery stores, is giving us a special treat thiis holiday season, with new flavors for Hanukkah Harry and Santa Claus alike.

Among their holiday-themed limited-edition packs of flavored sodas are The Christmas pack, featuring Sugar Plum, Christmas Tree, Egg Nog and Christmas Ham, and The Hanukkah pack, with Jelly Doughnut, Apple Sauce, Chocolate Coins and Latkes sodas.

Bonus: It's all kosher! And in the spirit of giving, a portion of all proceeds to be given to charity.

In the past Jones has produced crazy concoctions like Green Pea, Sweet Potato, Dinner Roll, Turkey and Gravy, and Antacid sodas (fr Thanksgiving) and - steel yourselves - Perspiration, Dirt, Sports Cream and Natural Field Turf (as part of a contract to provide soda to Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.)

I'm going to try to get my hand on some of these...I would love to surprise my grandma this Hanukkah with some Latke-flavored pop!

Ha, i am Jewish too, and i'd flip if they made latke-flavored ones! or maybe jelly doughnut flavored ones! those may actually be drink-able. Its funny because at my culianary school (i just started so we are only dealing with very basic things like veggies and potato dishes), they were showing us the demo for making latkes and the chef asked, "anybody here had a latke before?". I was the only one who raised my hand, basically highlighting the fact that i was the only jew in the class. Anyhow, i worked so hard to make sure they turned out right because my chef said, "o, i am sure you've seen and tried lots of these". thank god i did alright, but i must add latkes are actually very easy to mess up! i cant imagine drinking an onion/potato/oil flavored elixir!

I knew they had mashed potato and turkey sodas for Thanksgiving, but I didn't know they were expanding on them. I'm sorry, but they just sound kind of gross. Some might be ok...chocolate and apple are ok-sounding, but dirt?? EW.

Leslie, I'd be honored,lol!

I'd be ALL up in a jelly doughnut-flavored soda! Not too sure about the dirt. Anyway, you can get the real thing for free...

I'm from Seattle (maybe that explains the pink hair?) and Jones Co. used to always have free tasting samples at grocery stores, sports events etc. So I've tasted most of the weird ones - they're not too bad although still really sweet (even flavors like Turkey & Gravy). Their next flavor should just go straight to the point: "Sugar Crash". Way to make me miss home Leslie;)
