Whoa, mama

For all of you who have given birth or are thinking of doing it, I just found this site, Shape of a Mother, in which pregnant women post pictures of themselves at various stages of preggers-ness. Check out this mom, who's housing twins up in there! I like how the photographer described it as, "This is definitely not a photo for everyone. It isn't designed to be flattering, but to convey very much how she was feeling about the moment."

Here's a beautiful and classy nude I found...

A post-pregnancy belly button...

Awww....

And twins in the very beginning.

The belly button makes me frightened to have kids.

I have some scary pictures from my pregnancies. Like, "How the hell did I ever get off the couch when I'm the same size as it?" scary.

I wish fat women posted pictures of themselves when pregnant...it'd be nice to have others to compare myself to. Alas, all I get from strangers is the 'zomg she's so unbelievably fat, how disgusting!!!' look.

Ah well.

Beth - you think that belly button is scary? You should see mine (it used to be pierced so it's, like, doubly mutilated). Combined with my stretch marks, it ensures that my midsection will never see the light of day again - no matter how toned! And yet, the kids are worth it all:)

Orodemniades- I bet you look beautiful:) There is just something special about a pregnant woman. Ignore the strangers and focus on those sweet lil' kicks to your ribs;)

Thanks for the pics Leslie!! They made me all mushy inside;)
