Gwyenth: Just because you named you daughter Apple doesn't mean that's all you can eat

Not sure if you've heard the news but last night, Gwynnie Paltrow was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital due to an "unknown" illness. According to Us Weekly, bastion of all things accurate and thoroughly researched, "She was slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by [husband] Chris Martin."

BUT!!!

Some key info came just hours later with a bag of something was delivered to Paltrow's hom from a place called Organic Avenue. Herbs? Eco-friendly cleansing products? Life Froce Sun Flax All Raw Natural Italian Bread from the "Farmacy"? NY Magazine snooped around - well, they picked up the phone and called Organic Avenue (located at the corner of Delicious Drive and Overpried Place) - and were told by an employee that, "She's doing our five-day live-food fast."

Interesting.

So, the already-thin nymph who named her boy after the man who parted the Red Sea (yay for the Israelites!) is on a fast and was seen crumpled over in a wheelchair? That is so bizarre!

In all fairness, the Organic Avenue worker, appropriately named "Sprout McGee," told NY Mag that this fast icludes lots of juices and even SALAD! Thank God for small favors. Or, rather, thank Moses.

Anyhow, G. Pal is home now and on the mend. Whether fasting landed her in the hospital or some other serious health problem (which I truly don't intend to make fun of), we'll never know. But if the question keeps you up late at night, go eat some raw macadamia nuts and a glass of warm Coconut Mylk and simmer down, Buttercup.

I admit that i am quite thin, i dont call my self a waif for no reason, i choose to poke fun at my flatness, but theres I'd let my self do any type to "cleanse" "fast" (yom kippur exception!) or anything of that nature. What is cshe cleansing out exactly?? i mean how bad did she eat before that she need such a detox. This "live food" fast would fit the beer bellied college frat guys that live off beer and left over pizza. Maybe i am a bit biased because i am naturally a foodie and i have pleasure in eating, um well food, but I dont see how these miracle juices and salads are beneficial. Plus, they slim down your wallet! i hate that!

Is it just me or does anyone else remember how miserable she was before/during/after Shallow Hal? All of her interviews included something about how awful it was to wear the fat suit, and if I recall, there were some whispers around town that she was even more "concentious" about her eating than usual at the time. How can anyone at her weight and size think they need to fast unless its for religion?

Wow, what's really depressing are those prices... 18.00 for macadamia nuts... 25.00 for a dirt candle? ugh... celebrity culture is terribly depressing... let us try to remember that they are the exception and not the norm, and thank god for that.

Amen, Sasa! And I think you answered Archiver's question. Even though she doesn't live in L.A., she is still in the industry, and caught up in the craziness of it all. What's REALLY sad is if she continues, she's going to teach this behavior to her kids. (If she's still around, and that's really scary!)

What I hate is how celebs do stuff like this and then people copy them. Like that poor girl in that BBC special Super Slim Me "How come Nicole Richie gets to be this skinny but they stick me in an eating disorder clinic and say I have to gain weight? It's not fair." Amen, sister. Except, well, in the opposite way the anorexic teen meant. You know what I mean!

I like to buy lindens, because it is very interesting. I think if you meet the second life linden, you will like it too. And when you play the game well you can get some cheap linden as the rewards from the game. As long as you have a lot of linden dollars in the game you will be strong, and you can exchange the secondlife money with the other players.
