I just can't figure this one out. 1) Why is Lindsay all over the magazines lately? Does she have a movie or CD coming out? 2) After the year she's had and all the times we've seen her cha-cha as she climbed out of a cab, do we REALLY need more naked Lindsay? Come on, NY Mag! 3) Wasn't Marilyn in her 30s for those pictures, and we've got a 21-year old posing for them? Again, why???

I was surprised that on Jezebal they actually had a poll as to whether people thought her boobs were real or not. I thought their resolution was to not bash on women's bodies. To me, a boob poll is bashing.

Besides that, I just find it really sad that these young starlets feel the need to do peek-a-boo shots so they can get attention. Britney has yet another crotch shot this week. I'm just really tired of all this. It is not empowering at all and it does set a poor example to younger girls. I shake my head. Even sadder is that the media who take these pics do it because of ratings, pageviews, and sales. Most don't care about integrity, morality, or virtue.

And speaking of that, what ever happened to a woman being respectful of her own virtue? I'm not saying be puritanical but geez, you don't need to be flashing your boobs or cootchie for the world to see.

Marilyn Monroe was beautiful, but also so much more natural than much of what we see in Hollywood today. Part of what made that photo shoot so sexy was her coyness, which I think many of the starlets today don't understand. Instead of leaving something to the imagination like Marilyn did, many of today's starlets expose it all without thinking twice. This is what our culture wants nowadays. If you look at the original photos, the cloth over Marilyn is sheer, but not as sheer as the cloth over Lindsay in the new photos. And Jen is right about the age--these redone photos using a 21 year old in place of a woman 15 years her senior is an example of our obsession with youth. Marilyn has lines on her face in her photos that Lindsay has yet to earn.

I agree with Jen, I've seen all Linday's everything before.

Other than that, she looks great. She looks hot. Which just goes to show, having a killer body doesn't necessarily guarantee that a person will have high self esteem.

interesting point about her age - I don't even think I consciously realized she is just 21 because she's already been through rehab. She seems older, but not in a good way more of a "robbed of her youth" way. And Kim, I agree on the coy issue...it seems a bit contrived. I could see this working with a more established, reputable, sensual actress *maybe* but not on a young IT girl with major issues to deal with. Not to judge, or anything.

I dunno, I just can't get over how fake looking her blond wig is. Also, every time I see pics like this I think about how many people must be standing around watching her be naked - I mean you have makeup, lighting, crew, photographer. Hey, even the catering guy probably gets a good long look. I know that she knew what she signed up for but it just seems really... uncomfortable? Like one of those dreams where everyone is dressed and you're starkers. Unless they make the whole crew go naked. Now that would be interesting:)
