Crouching tiger, hidden WTF?
Um, yeah, so, I don't know if anything particularly exciting has been going on in your neck o' the woods, but Sweet Cracker Sandwich look what the holy hell just happened here in Chicago.
This occured one block from my house. As in, where I live. Welcome to the jungle, baby.
Poor cougar :-(

Wow! Just...wow! You don't really expect that sort of thing in Chicago!
Glad you're OK.
I feel so bad for the poor lost kitty. But, lost confused kitties do not belong in Chicago.
Glad no humans were injured.
Well, at least u weren't brutally mugged walking home from work, left for dead and u don't even HAVE any money..
Be glad you're not in Miami..oh, I mean "DIEami"...
That's so sad. I wonder what PETA will have to say about this. Not that I'm not supportive of animal rights, because I truly am. (I was pissed when those sick cows were continuously prodded by those dumbass hicks!)
That's so sad. I understand it was probably a danger to the public, but it's a shame they couldn't have trapped and relocated the poor thing.
A cougar lost in the city is scary but he was probably scared outta his mind too. Why didn't they try to corner him and trap him before opening fire in public. Seems a bit extreme to me.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Unfortunately here in Iowa we've had to shoot all kinds of animals, deer are the biggest and foxes...when the foxes get into the pig pens and hen houses out at the far the famly out there get out the shot guns!
have a great tuesday and I hope to see you around my blog more often!
I meant FARM...at the far doesn't sound right...sorry
Wussy Chicagoans. Oh yeah, where I'm from we wrassle them cougars to the ground before rolling them into a canyon.
I'm from Philly;)
Poor cougar, definitely. I had to shake my head at "they cornered it against a fence and it charged them". Of course it charged them, it's a wild animal and it was cornered. Duh.
Not that they had a lot of choice but it would have been nice if they could have tranked it and carted it back into the wilderness...whatever wilderness there may be within carting distance of Chicago, that is! But then one doesn't expect Chicago police to have to deal with a lot of large-predatory-wild-animal incidents, so I suppose one can't reasonably expect them to be prepared and equipped for same.
Still sad. Not quite as sad as it would have been had someone's child been cougar-kibble. But sad.
V.
I live just a few blocks north of the cougar incident (Lincoln Square, Leslie)..I was surprised by this but equally sad that they killed the cougar. Crazy stuff always happens in the spring ( =
I'm still stuck on "Sweet Cracker Sandwich", lol!!!
Dear Ali:

Glad that your mother was there to support you though this journey. She has this I can attitiude about life. If you can do it so can ohers. Thanks for being on the show. You inspire me to make a change in my life and for that I am garateful.
Crazy! We had a cougar loose near my house on the east coast when I was growing up. It was trapped in a backyard. So sad they had to kill it. :(
that title and sweet cracker sandwich or whatever totally provided some serious lolz.
