Can we turn this into a ringtone?

Susi from fitsugar.com just emailed me in reference to the 23-inch waist model story:

"As a mom of two girls, I am so happy you are out there spreading the word about the unhealthy attitude we have toward weight in this culture. My three-year-old was looking at herself in the mirror this morning and she said “Me beautiful.” I hope her attitude never changes and I am going to do everything I can to prevent it from doing so!"

"Me beautiful"?? Are you kidding me? I have just been reduced to a big ball of warm fuzziness and chirping birds. How pure and simply gorgeous is that statement? I want a ringtone on my cell so that everytime someone calls me, a strong little girl calls out, "Me beautiful."

Enjoy your weekends, everyone, and remember, "You beautiful."

That is so wonderful! I just melted into a gooey puddle of happiness, reading that.

Last night my kids were trying on clothes for my sister-in-law's wedding. My son kept trying to take his tie off (of course), but my daughter tried on her gown and just KNEW how gorgeous she looked! She had a big smile on her face , and she looked so happy and cute!

Beautiful words of wisdom from a 3-year old. We should heed them!

That is so cute! I think that's my new favourite quote.

Three is a magical age:) I remember hearing somewhere that this is when people really start to build concrete memories - may this be one for her.

its sad that somewhere along the way we lose that...

I love that.
and it IS sad that we lose it.

I could spend hours (and ok I DO :)) watching my daughter dance for herself and just giggle and ADORE who she is.

and then I always start down that path of wondering "when will this change? does it have to change? what can I do to prevent it from changing?!"

and do we simply have to settle for the fact that it may change and hope she rediscovers it again after a few rough years?

M., who is off to dance for herself & giggle

I'd love a ringtone of that with the voices of my triplet nieces in unison ;-)
